Christmas Celebrations at Rosemont School

RSHC Early Childhood and Lower School students played key roles in the "Star of Wonder" Nativity performance at Rosemont School in December, along with animals and instructors from Quiver Farm Project, Inc. The performance was filmed by Action News 6abc television for its evening broadcast.

Rosemont School of the Holy Child was festive with Christmas celebrations during the final week of classes before the Christmas break, with special programs at every level of our School.

On December 17 at 7 p.m. in the O'Neill Gymnasium, grades 1-8 welcomed the Christmas season with a program entitled "Star of Wonder." The selections reflected the versatility of our music program, including RSHC's handbell choir, jazz band and two choral ensembles. The wonderful energy of the children was focused on singing, playing Orff instruments, and other percussion instruments.

In addition, the 8th grade students presented the traditional tableaus. With the close collaboration of educators Sr. Mary Sullivan (religion), Joyce Brady (art), Sharon Potter (music), and Jan Tebbel (music), all facets of the program were integrated into telling the Christmas story through recurring stage tableaus throughout the performance.

In addition, Early Childhood children in Nursery, PreKindergarten and Kindergarten presented their annual programs for their families on the final two days of classes.
